The Rhinoflex duckbill check valves are an exceptionally reliable and an excellent, economical alternative to flap-gate valves along with other check valves. The simple one-piece design and reinforced rubber construction take away the mechanical and metal components that rust and seize in conventional flap-gates. These are made to order, one way , non-return check valves, made from a variety of elastomeric rubbers, and built as per the application along with the line pressure and back pressure concerned. One can choose from all standard pipe sizes, and typical application is back flow prevention and downstream of an pump, at pump stations.
 
The Rhinoflex Duckbill Check valves are passive-reactive devices requiring no external mechanisms or power source to function. The Duckbill Check Valve is generally closed but will react and open with as little as 1 " of head pressure and constantly provide maximum flow with minimal pressure drop across the valve. This easy operation reduces standing water in sewer pipes where mosquitoes along with other pests can thrive.

Their all-flexible construction will pass large objects without blockage yet offers exceptional back flow prevention and may even seal around trapped solids with as little as 1 psi of back pressure.
 
Ideally, the conical concentric design provides for the best flow hydraulics, and lowest pressure drops. These may handle quite well water volumes and weights and stop backflow very reliably and consistently, without any maintenance at all.
Typical applications are for Open Discharge of flood control, water-waste water, storm water, flood water, into a manhole, bubble-pit, pond, lake, dam, or sea.
They may also be used from the back flow protection against Effluent ,Sewage, and  Sewerage systems.
The duckbill check valves are used with in sub-sea applications for example outfall diffuser systems, along with AIR Aeration, in SPARGE diffusers in Effluent Mixing tanks and slurry mixing systems.
